Birds
The Fleet is internationally recognised for its birdlife, with large seasonal gatherings of waterfowl and excellent opportunities to see waders feeding along the shore.
Plants
From sea kale and yellow horned poppy on Chesil to eelgrass and tasselweeds in the lagoon, the Reserve hosts plant communities adapted to salt, wind, and shifting ground.
Mammals
Look out for brown hares in open ground, roe deer moving through scrub, and signs of nocturnal life after dark. Seals may also be seen resting near the shoreline.
