It’s that time of year again where we are seeing more and more fledglings starting to emerge and some birds, like the Dunnock, may already be on their second clutch of the year. The first cygnet of the year hatched this morning with a sibling joining it at around 11am. This particular nest still has three eggs to go, which should all hopefully hatch by tomorrow morning, as they will usually hatch within 24hrs of one another. There are now a total of 102 nests with the next ones due on the 9th May and then most days throughout May, going on in to early June.
