2-Little Tern (47) - CopyAs mentioned last month, the Little Terns at Ferrybridge have arrived back from their wintering grounds on the SW coast of Africa.

Numbers are steadily increasing and the RSPB have done a great job of erecting fences and hides for their upcoming season.

The front bird in this photo (taken 3/5/16) has a colour ring on its leg, identifying it a one of last years breeding birds, it is hoped that a few other ringed birds may be sighted in and around the colony over the upcoming weeks.
